France has accused the Israeli military of breaching its ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah 52 times, with the latest attack on Saturday reportedly killing three Lebanese civilians, according to Israel’s Ynet News.

French officials allege that Israel’s actions occurred without consulting the international monitoring committee responsible for ensuring compliance with the ceasefire.

“The Lebanese are fully committed to maintaining the ceasefire and preventing Hezbollah from reestablishing its presence in southern Lebanon, but they must be given time to prove themselves,” a French official reportedly stated.

The Israeli military has defended its actions, arguing that they were retaliatory strikes against violations by Hezbollah. Israeli officials stressed that the international monitoring committee tasked with supervising the ceasefire will not be fully operational until Monday or Tuesday, and they intend to continue their operations until that time.

The alleged violations and continued hostilities highlight escalating tensions in southern Lebanon, threatening the fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah. These developments have drawn increased international scrutiny as both sides accuse the other of undermining peace efforts in the region.

In Lebanon, at least 3,961 people have been killed and 16,520 wounded in Israeli attacks since the war on Gaza began.
