Israeli airstrikes kill scores of Palestinians in Southern Gaza
Israeli forces intensified their airstrikes on the southern Gaza Strip on Thursday evening, leaving multiple Palestinians dead in Khan Younis and Rafah.
The Palestinian News Agency reports confirm that at least three people were killed in a drone strike targeting a group in Qaa’ al-Qarein, southeast of Khan Younis. Another deadly airstrike hit civilians near the Khirbet al-Adas intersection, north of Rafah, claiming several more lives.
Medical sources indicate that at least 25 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza today alone, as Israeli attacks persist across the region.
Since the onset of the conflict in October 2023, Gaza has endured relentless bombardment. The death toll has climbed to over 44,330 Palestinians, with more than 104,933 injured. Thousands remain buried under rubble, unreachable by emergency teams due to ongoing strikes.
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has drawn sharp criticism from international bodies. Despite UN Security Council demands for a ceasefire and urgent directives from the International Court of Justice to prevent genocide and address the humanitarian catastrophe, Israeli attacks continue unabated.
The escalating violence further exacerbates the dire conditions in Gaza, as calls for immediate action grow louder worldwide.
