Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday strongly criticized the Israeli government’s actions in Palestine, accusing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s administration of engaging in daily “brutal massacres” of civilians, including women, children, and the elderly.

Speaking in Ankara during an event to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Erdogan expressed solidarity with Palestinian women, lauding their courage and resilience amidst ongoing violence.

“The insane Netanyahu government is brutally massacring dozens of women, children, elderly people, and infants every day, like serial murderers who derive pleasure from killing,” Erdogan said, reiterating his longstanding criticism of Israel’s policies in the region.

He commended Palestinian women for their “dignified resistance against the oppressor,” describing their struggle as a powerful example for women worldwide.

Erdogan also reaffirmed Türkiye’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and called out what he termed the “pressures of the Zionist lobby.” He emphasized Türkiye’s commitment to defending the fundamental rights of Palestinians and advocating for peace.

This statement adds to the escalating tensions between Türkiye and Israel over the ongoing conflict, with Erdogan consistently positioning himself as a vocal advocate for Palestinian rights on the global stage.
