Storm Bert continues its relentless assault on the UK, claiming a fourth life as 70mph winds and severe flooding wreak havoc across Wales and beyond.
The latest victim, 75-year-old Brian Perry, was found after disappearing while walking by the River Conwy with his wife and dog, North Wales Police confirmed.
On Saturday, three motorists lost their lives in separate incidents in Winchester, West Yorkshire, and Northamptonshire as the storm’s fury showed no signs of abating.

Power outages have left around 350,000 households in the dark, though efforts to restore electricity have reconnected the majority.
