Kuwait honors fallen firefighter in solemn ceremony
Kuwait came together on Saturday to honor firefighter Abdullah Al-Farsi, who tragically lost his life while battling a fire on Friday.
A solemn funeral was held at Al-Sulaibikhat Cemetery, where mourners paid their respects to the fallen hero.
In a statement, the Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) acknowledged Al-Farsi’s sacrifice, with KFF Chief Major General Talal Al-Roumi conveying condolences from Acting Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah to Al-Farsi’s grieving family.
Leading the funeral procession, Maj. Gen. Al-Roumi was joined by senior fire force commanders, alongside a large gathering of citizens and residents, who united to pay tribute to the firefighter’s bravery and selflessness.
Al-Farsi’s passing serves as a somber reminder of the risks faced daily by those on the front lines of emergency response.
His dedication to duty and ultimate sacrifice have left an indelible mark on Kuwait, with many expressing gratitude for his service and mourning the loss of a devoted public servant.
