Israel offers $5 million reward for hostage rescue in Gaza
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Tuesday a $5 million reward for anyone who successfully brings a hostage out of Gaza.
Netanyahu stated, “Anybody who brings out a hostage will find with us a secure way for them and their family to leave Gaza. We will also give them a reward of $5 million for each hostage.”
He said this during a visit to the Netzarim Corridor, a key Israeli military supply route cutting through Gaza, where he was accompanied by Defense Minister Israel Katz.

Wearing protective gear, Netanyahu warned, “Anyone who dares to do harm to our hostages is considered dead — we will pursue you and we will catch up with you.”
He emphasized that a primary objective of the ongoing war was to ensure that “Hamas does not rule in Gaza.”
Netanyahu reaffirmed Israel’s commitment to recovering all hostages, whether alive or dead, stating, “We won’t give up. We will continue until we’ve found them all.”
Hamas’s attack on October 7, 2023, which initiated the current conflict, resulted in the abduction of 251 hostages. Of these, 97 remain in Gaza, including 34 confirmed dead. The Israeli government has intensified efforts to recover the captives amidst the ongoing military campaign.
