Israel denounces UN committee genocide allegations, says they’re “anti-Israel fabrications”
Israel has strongly condemned a United Nations committee for accusing its actions in Gaza of aligning with genocide, calling the claims “anti-Israel fabrications.”
The UN special committee’s report asserted that Israel was “intentionally causing death, starvation and serious injury” in Gaza, using “starvation as a method of war.”
In response, Israel’s Foreign Ministry dismissed the allegations as “false claims” and criticized the UN for its alleged bias. “The … report is an appalling example of the transformation of the UN into an organisation which is used as a pawn by terrorists who attack civilians in a democratic state,” the ministry stated, adding that Israel’s operations target Hamas’s “terror capabilities.”

The UN committee pointed to Israel’s siege, obstruction of humanitarian aid, and attacks on civilians and aid workers, suggesting these actions violate International Court of Justice orders and Security Council resolutions.
The United States, a staunch ally of Israel, also rejected the UN’s findings, describing the accusations as “unfounded.”
The debate adds to escalating tensions over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with Israel facing growing international scrutiny while maintaining that its operations are against Hamas.
Despite the claim, its violent operations have killed at least 43,846 Palestinians and wounded 103,740 since October 7, 2023. An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks that day, and more than 200 were taken captive.
