Israeli forces killed scores of civilians in late Monday strikes on Gaza City
Several civilians were killed and others injured late Monday in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza City, according to medical sources.
The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that the Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated that paramedics had transported the bodies of multiple Palestinians after Israeli warplanes targeted a commercial area on Omar Al-Mukhtar Street in central Gaza City.
Additionally, ambulance crews from Al-Awda Hospital in Al-Nuseirat camp retrieved the bodies of two Palestinians killed in the Al-Nuwairi Hill area, west of the camp in central Gaza.
Israel’s deadly raids on Gaza have killed at least 43,603 Palestinians and wounded 102,929 since October 7, 2023. An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks that day and more than 200 were taken captive.
In Lebanon, at least 3,189 people have been killed and 14,078 wounded in Israeli attacks since the war on Gaza began.
