French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot has arrived in Israel to continue critical discussions on Gaza and Lebanon as the wars rage on.

His visit seeks to explore diplomatic solutions to free captives, protect civilians, and ensure safety for all, emphasizing that it is time to end the tragedy that began on October 7.

In a post on X, Barrot expressed France’s commitment to doing “everything in its power” to free all captives. He met with family members of two captives held in Gaza, demonstrating France’s involvement in resolving the conflict.

Notably, Barrot’s posts didn’t mention Palestinians directly but expressed “solidarity” with Israel.

Barrot’s visit includes meetings with Israeli officials, such as Israel Katz and Ron Dermer, as well as Palestinian Authority officials in Ramallah.

The diplomatic effort aims to address the complex situation in the region. The Times of Israel reported on Barrot’s schedule, highlighting the significance of his meetings.

International efforts are underway to address the conflict. Diplomatic solutions, like those Barrot is exploring, are crucial in resolving the issues facing Lebanon, Gaza, and the surrounding regions.

Since the war started, Israel’s rampaging attacks on Gaza have killed at least 43,391 Palestinians and injured 102,347. An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks that day, and more than 200 were taken captive.

In Lebanon, at least 3,050 people have been killed and 13,658 wounded in Israeli attacks since the war on Gaza began.
