Video: Watch as Pro-Palestine supporters halt Kamala Harris speech in Pennsylvania
Pro-Palestine supporters made their voices heard at Vice President Kamala Harris’s rally in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, interrupting her speech multiple times.
In short videos uploaded on X by @ryanmhartnett the protesters demanded an end to the genocide of the Palestinian people and Israeli aggression in Lebanon, holding signs that read “Stop the Genocide Now.”
They also chanted in support of Palestine and called for the US to stop arming Israel.
The protesters were determined to get their message across, disrupting Harris’s speech several times. However, Harris responded calmly, acknowledging their right to free speech while also asking them to let her finish her speech.
“You have the right to speak, but let me finish my speech,” she said.
Event organizers took a different approach, attempting to forcibly remove the protesters carrying the Palestinian flag and their supporters from the hall.
The interruption underscores the ongoing controversy surrounding US involvement in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
As the presidential election approaches, candidates like Harris will face increasing pressure to address this issue and clarify their stances.
