Identified as Lieutenant Sharaf Kameny, from the Ghanaian Army, he is the brother of the well-known reciter Okasha Kameny. His skillful and heartfelt recitation drew admiration from various commenters who recognized the depth of his connection to the verses.
A netizen Baba Woru Diko, in response to the video, praised Lt. Kameny, highlighting his notable family ties to Qur’ānic recitation. “His name is Lt. Sharaf Kameny, from the Ghana Army. He is the brother of our renowned reciter Okasha Kameny,” Diko shared, noting the talent that runs in the family.
Another commenter, Ibrahim Idris, reflected on the spiritual depth that Qur’ānic recitation brings, writing, “There is nothing more beneficial for the heart than reading the Qur’an with contemplation and reflection. It inspires love, patience, and reliance on Allāh.” His words echoed the sentiments of many who found the recitation not only impressive but also spiritually enriching.
However, reactions to the video varied, with Ibrahim Koula Diallo commenting on the need for genuine behavior behind the recitation. He noted, “The reading is good… but those who know this reader well can appreciate better; if his behavior is good, it will be good for him. Otherwise, his reading is just cinema which has no value.”
