Death toll climbs as 93 civilians killed in Israeli raid on Beit Lahia district

No fewer than 93 people were killed in Gaza’s Beit Lahia district where Israeli air carried out strikes on a residential building.
The Gaza civil defense agency reported that around 40 individuals remain missing, buried under the rubble.
Many of the victims were women and children, according to medical sources cited by WAFA. The strike targeted the Abu Nasr family home, resulting in one of the deadliest incidents in the ongoing conflict.

The situation in northern Gaza remains concerning, with approximately 100,000 people stranded in Jabalia, Beit Lahiya, and Beit Hanoun without access to medical supplies or food.
The Palestinian Civil Emergency Service reported that its operations have ground to a halt due to the relentless Israeli assault.
Israel’s military operation aims to prevent Hamas from regrouping in northern Gaza, where the group’s combat forces were previously wiped out. However, the humanitarian toll continues to mount, with no immediate comment from Israeli authorities on the latest strike.
So far, at least 43,020 people have been killed and 101,110 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7, 2023. An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks and more than 200 were taken captive.
