Suspected terror attack: 1 dead, 32 wounded as truck rams bus stop near Israeli capital

A tragic incident unfolded north of Tel Aviv when a truck plowed into a bus stop, injuring 33 people.

One person has been confirmed dead as the Magen David Adom emergency service reported that eight of the wounded were trapped under the truck when medics arrived at the scene.

Eyewitnesses described the horrific scene, with dozens of people hit while waiting at the bus stop.

Many of the injured were senior citizens who had just disembarked from a bus heading to a nearby museum to commemorate the national memorial day for victims of the October 7 massacre and subsequent war.

The severity of the injuries varies, with six people in serious condition, seven moderately wounded, and 20 sustaining minor injuries .

United Hatzalah emergency rescue service also reported over 35 injured in the incident. The director of Israel’s Magen David Adom (MDA) rescue service, Eli Bin, confirmed the critical condition of six victims.

The suspected terror attack has sent shockwaves through the community, and authorities are working to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. The Glilot Junction, where the attack occurred, is now a focal point of emergency response efforts.
