Trump knocks Biden over Middle East escalations, promises to broker peace if elected
Former US President Donald Trump has faulted President Joe Biden’s foreign policy, specifically regarding the ongoing conflicts between Israel and Lebanon, and Russia and Ukraine.
Trump claims that if he were president, the October 7 attack on Israel wouldn’t have happened, and the war would have been prevented.
He emphasized this point in an interview with Al-Arabiya’s Nadia Bilbassy-Charters, stating that his presidency would have avoided the loss of life and destruction of cities.

Trump also discussed his plans to expand the Abraham Accords, which were established during his presidency, allowing Israel to sign normalization agreements with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco.
However, the situation has become more complicated, with Bahrain’s parliament recently voting to end economic ties with Israel due to the escalating violence in Gaza, which has resulted in over 42,603 deaths and 99,795 injuries. Israel has expanded its attacks to areas of Lebanon, targeting Iran-backed Hezbollah and Palestinian groups.
Trump has expressed confidence in his ability to broker peace, stating that he would work with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to restore stability in the region.
This comes as American Muslim voters are divided on supporting Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in the November 5 presidential election, citing President Biden’s failure to restrain Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
