Saudi Arabia’s fourth aid plane landed at Beirut International Airport late Wednesday, bringing much-needed relief to displaced Lebanese people.

The humanitarian donation is part of the Kingdom’s aid agency, KSrelief, response to the growing number of people displaced by Israel’s air strikes in Lebanon.

The first plane landed carrying over 40 tonnes of food, medical supplies, and relief materials, along with a team for rescue operations.

Saudi Arabia isn’t alone in its efforts; other countries like the UAE, Turkiye, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Canada, Romania, and France have also sent aid to Lebanon.

The situation in Lebanon is dire, with over 2,300 people killed and more than 746,500 internally displaced as of Wednesday, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia continues to provide humanitarian aid to those internally displaced by Israel’s war on Gaza, estimated at 1.9 million people.

KSrelief recently signed a $10 million financial support memorandum with the International Committee of the Red Cross to address humanitarian needs in the Gaza Strip.

This support is part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to provide essential services to the affected Palestinian population. Saudi Arabia has been a key donor to refugee relief programs, with KSrelief being a close partner of the UNHCR since its establishment in 2015.
