Gaza death toll hits 42,065 as IDF forces continue raids on besieged enclave

The Gaza Health Ministry has reported devastating numbers from the ongoing conflict with Israel, with at least 42,065 Palestinians killed since the war started on October 7, 2023.
This staggering toll includes 55 deaths in just the last 24 hours and a total of 97,886 people wounded in the besieged strip.
The impact on civilians, including journalists, has been severe, with many risking their lives to report on the conflict.
Journalists in Gaza face extremely high risks, with at least 139 journalists and media workers killed since the war started, making it the deadliest period for journalists since records began in 1992.
Many journalists have been directly targeted while on duty covering the violence for their media outlets. The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) is investigating numerous other cases of potential killings, arrests, and injuries.
Recall that the Muslim Parrot reported that no fewer than 22 civilians, including children and women, have been confirmed killed and numerous others injured in an Israeli airstrike on a school sheltering displaced persons in Rafah, Gaza.
The Palestinian news agency WAFA correspondent, citing medical sources, confirmed the casualties, stating that several injured victims are in critical condition.
The bombing targeted Rafidah School, which was serving as a temporary shelter for those displaced in the conflict.
This tragic incident has added to the growing humanitarian concerns in the region.
