Lebanon: IDF kills top Hezbollah commander in fresh strikes
The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) announced that Suhail Hussein Husseini, commander of Hezbollah’s headquarters, was killed in a strike on Beirut.
According to the IDF, Husseini was responsible for overseeing the militant group’s logistics, budgeting, and management of various units.
The IDF described Husseini’s role as “crucial” in facilitating weapon transfers between Iran and Hezbollah. Additionally, he was allegedly responsible for “distributing the advanced weaponry among Hezbollah’s units”. This development comes amid escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah.

“Additionally, he was a member of the Jihad council, Hezbollah’s senior military leadership council,” it said.
It also said Husseini was responsible for the “budgeting and logistical management of Hezbollah’s most sensitive projects”, including special operations against the State of Israel from Lebanon and Syria.
The strike marks a significant blow to Hezbollah’s leadership and operational capabilities. The IDF’s targeted operation underscores Israel’s continued efforts to disrupt Hezbollah’s military supply chain and counter the group’s influence in the region.
