Iran’s attack on Israel severe disregard for humanity — JCRC -NY
The Jewish Community Relations Council of New York (JCRC-NY) has voiced out against Iran’s recent attacks on Israel, calling it a “severe disregard for human life.”
Over 180 ballistic missiles were launched across Israel and surrounding areas, with missiles hitting Central Israel and flying over Jerusalem.
“This attack endangers all people in the region – Jews, Muslims, Christians, Israelis, and Palestinians alike,” stated JCRC-NY. The attacks have resulted in the loss of life, including a Palestinian in the West Bank killed by shrapnel.

JCRC-NY emphasized that these attacks are not isolated incidents, citing Hamas’s attack on October 7, 2023, and Hezbollah’s consistent aggression. “This escalation threatens not just Israel but regional and global stability,” they warned.
“We call upon all elected officials to offer clear and robust support to Israel and the Jewish community during this critical time,” urged JCRC-NY.
They expressed gratitude to the Biden-Harris administration, Governor Hochul, Mayor Adams, and the NYPD for their support and vigilance. “We stand ready to support our community and partners as we navigate this challenging period together.”
“While there is no known credible threat to our Jewish community at this time, we are closely monitoring the situation. We recommend that our community institutions remain alert and adhere to established security protocols and recommendations from the Community Security Initiative, a project of UJA-Federation of New York and JCRC-NY.
“JCRC-NY will continue to follow this evolving situation, and we stand ready to support our community and partners as we navigate this challenging period together, in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Israel.”
