Saudi Arabia urges preservation of Lebanon’s sovereignty as Israeli attacks rage on
Saudi Arabia has emphasized the importance of maintaining Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity amid the ongoing Israeli strikes.
The Kingdom’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed deep concern over the escalating situation in Lebanon, affirming solidarity with the Lebanese people and highlighting the need to mitigate the humanitarian impact of these events.
In a statement issued on Monday, Saudi Arabia called upon the international community to take responsibility for securing regional peace and stability, thereby sparing the region and its people from the devastating consequences of war.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is following with great concern the developments taking place in the Republic of Lebanon.” The country “affirms its solidarity with the Lebanese people against the repercussions of these events and the need to limit their humanitarian consequences.”
To support Lebanon, the Kingdom has issued directives to provide medical and relief aid.
The situation in Lebanon remains dire, with Israeli attacks claiming hundreds of lives since last Monday, marking the deadliest day since the country’s 1975-1990 civil war.
On Monday alone, an Israeli strike on a Beirut apartment block resulted in at least four fatalities, while Sunday’s strikes claimed 105 lives and left 359 wounded, according to Lebanon’s health ministry. The past week has seen over 700 casualties, including 14 paramedics, underscoring the urgent need for international intervention.
