More people killed in Gaza Strip as Isreal air raids continue
Israeli airstrikes struck various areas of the Gaza Strip early Friday, killing and injuring dozens of Palestinians despite calls for a ceasefire in the besieged territory.
The airstrikes targeted the Abu Shanab family home on Hamid Street in western Gaza City, displaced persons in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, and tents within the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital compound. A residential home in Deir al-Balah was also hit, according to WAFA. Palestinian Red Crescent paramedics transported the wounded to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital for treatment.
Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza on October 7, 2023, a total of 41,534 Palestinian fatalities have been documented, with another 96,092 people injured, the majority of whom are women and children.
Thousands more are feared dead beneath the rubble of destroyed buildings throughout the war-torn enclave, as civil defense teams and emergency services are unable to reach several areas due to safety concerns amid ongoing indiscriminate Israeli attacks.
Recall that the Muslim Parrot reported that US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin assured that the United States will continue its support to Israel as Tel Aviv secures a new $8.7bn US military assistance package, and dismissed “red lines” in Israel’s assaults on Gaza and Lebanon.
