No fewer than 41,431 people have been confirmed killed in the war between Israel and Palestinian militants, as the bloodshed enters its 12th month.

The toll includes 40 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the ministry, which said 95,818 people have been wounded in the Gaza Strip since the war began when Hamas militants attacked Israel on October 7.

“Israeli forces killed 40 people and injured 58 others in three ‘massacres’ of families in the last 24 hours,” the ministry stated.

It added, “Many people remain trapped under the rubble and on the roads, as rescuers are unable to reach them.”

Israel has continued its intense offensive on Gaza following a Hamas-led attack on October 7, despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire.

The Israeli assault has displaced nearly the entire population of Gaza amid an ongoing blockade causing severe shortages of food, clean water, and medical supplies.

Israel is facing accusations of genocide at the International Court of Justice for its actions in Gaza.
