Allah’s protection and guidance, ‘The driving force behind Quran memorization’ – Nigerian Islamic scholar

A renowned Nigerian Islamic scholar and law professor at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, Professor Abdulrazaq AbdulMajid Alaro, has emphasized the significance of the Quran, describing it as the eternal word of the Almighty Allah and the highest guidance for mankind of all ages.

The scholar, who is also an Islamic finance expert, said this at the Zayd bin Thabit Academy Quran graduation ceremony.

Professor Alaro expressed admiration at the remarkable feat of the Quran memorizers, who have committed to memory over 600 pages of the noble book. He noted that this achievement is unparalleled and could not be imagined in any other book.

He said, “The day that we have gathered to celebrate the glorious Quran. We celebrate the Quran memorizers, this noble book. When we talk of Quranul Kareem that is the external word of the Almighty and that is the highest guidance and what we have seen today as said in the lecture is the true manifestation of His promise, to continue to protect and preserve this noble book.

He added, “Otherwise, one could have not even imagine how somebody that does not even speak a language will memorize not just one page or two pages but memorizing more than 600 pages of al-Qur’ānul Kareem.

The professor attributed the memorizers’ accomplishment to the fulfillment of Almighty Allah’s promise to protect and preserve the Quran. He saw their achievement as a manifestation of divine guidance and protection.

Professor Alaro congratulated the celebrants and their parents on their remarkable achievement, acknowledging the significance of their dedication to the Quran. His words underscored the importance of the Quran in Islamic tradition and the value of its memorization and study.

“It’s not possible in any other book. We see that as a manifestation and as a fulfilment of almighty Allah’s promise to continue to protect and preserve al-Qur’anul Kareem. So, we congratulate the celebrants and their parents, he concluded.”
