DCO to convene emergency meeting to address global technical disruption
The General Secretariat of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) has announced an emergency meeting with its member states and a panel of digital economy experts.
The session is aimed at discussing the repercussions of a recent global technical disruption that has impacted critical operations across various sectors, including airlines, banks, and media institutions.
The DCO highlighted the incident as a significant concern for continuity and sustainability in an era increasingly dependent on digital platforms.
“The world’s rapid shift towards digital channels demands robust policies and protocols to mitigate risks and ensure the continuity of essential operations,” stated the DCO.
In its announcement, the DCO expressed its intent to conduct emergency discussions to extract lessons from the disruption, ascertain its potential effects on national digital transformation agendas, and establish practical measures.
The organization aims to equip all relevant parties with the capabilities to respond swiftly and effectively to such crises, minimizing risks and safeguarding operational continuity in crucial sectors.
