The Muslim World League (MWL) has officially commended the Republic of Armenia for its recent decision to recognize the State of Palestine.

In a statement from the MWL’s General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, highlighted the significance of this move as part of a broader international shift towards acknowledging the struggles and rights of the Palestinian people.

Dr. Al-Issa emphasized that Armenia’s recognition, along with similar decisions by other nations, marks a “qualitative transformation” in global awareness and support for the Palestinian cause. He noted that such actions reflect a growing international acknowledgment of the injustices endured by Palestinians and their legitimate aspiration for self-determination and statehood.

Commending Armenia’s “responsible and noble stance,” Dr. Al-Issa urged all countries to emulate this example. He called for widespread international support to uphold the human and legal rights of the Palestinian people, stressing the importance of global solidarity in addressing their plight.

The MWL’s statement underscores the increasing recognition and support for Palestine on the world stage.

This development is seen as a pivotal moment in the ongoing efforts to achieve justice and statehood for the Palestinian people.
