Iraq’s Health Ministry signs second agreement with Qatar’s Estithmar Holding
A second agreement has been reached between the Iraqi Ministry of Health and Elegancia Healthcare, a subsidiary of Estithmar Holding in Qatar, to handle the operation of the 492-bed Al Hasan Al Mujtaba Teaching Hospital in the Karbala Governorate of Iraq.
Dr. Sabah Noor Al-Musawi, the Director General of Karbala Health, and Mohammed bin Bader Al-Sadah, the Group CEO of Estithmar Holding, signed the deal.
“This initiative is in line with Estithmar Holding’s efforts to expand its business and projects in Iraq and is an addition to the recently signed agreement with Dhi Qaar Governorate,” said Al-Sadah.
The first deal to oversee and run Al Nasiriya Teaching Hospital in Dhi Qaar Governorate has been finalized by Estithmar Holding and the Iraqi Ministry of Health. This brings the total number of beds handled between the two hospitals to about 1000.
“These agreements seek to elevate the quality of healthcare services offered by Al Hasan Al Mujtaba Teaching Hospital and Al-Nasiriyah Teaching Hospital,” said Joseph Hazel, CEO of Elegancia Healthcare.
“We are pleased to move forward with this strategic partnership, which aims to develop and upgrade the health sector in the Republic of Iraq, as we take pride in our numerous collaborations with the Iraqi Ministry of Health,” added Al-Sadah.
