This unveiling marks a significant milestone in Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to promote transparency and accessibility in economic and social data management.

The Data Saudi platform, initially launched on a trial basis in September 2023, has undergone continuous refinement and expansion under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy and Planning. With each iteration, the platform has evolved to incorporate additional features, facilitating easier access to crucial economic and social information.

As the central repository for economic and social data within the Kingdom, the Data Saudi platform is strategically aligned with the objectives outlined in Saudi Vision 2030. By offering a comprehensive suite of key indicators and analytical tools, the platform empowers users to gain deep insights into various aspects of the Saudi economy and social landscape across different regions.

Key features of the Data Saudi platform include the presentation of vital economic indicators such as international trade balance, workers’ remittances, and accounts on capital and current balance. Additionally, the platform showcases essential social metrics such as population density, birth rates, and a comprehensive population pyramid, providing stakeholders with a holistic view of societal trends and demographics.

During the LEAP 2024 event, the Ministry of Economy and Planning received accolades from Eng. Ahmed Alsuwaiyan, Governor of the Digital Government Authority, for attaining the National Enterprise Architecture Accreditation Certificate. This recognition underscores the government’s commitment to excellence in adhering to national standards for enterprise architecture maturity, thereby propelling digital transformation initiatives across the public sector.

In conclusion, the introduction of the Data Saudi platform represents a pivotal step towards fostering transparency and data-driven decision-making within Saudi Arabia. With its user-friendly interface and robust analytical capabilities, the platform is poised to become an indispensable tool for policymakers, researchers, and business leaders seeking to navigate and understand the complexities of the Saudi economy and society.
