Tadano cranes make comeback in Iraq following distribution agreement with Sardar
Sardar Automotive & Machinery, the appointed distributor of Tadano cranes in Iraq, recently orchestrated informative seminars in Baghdad and Basra aimed at bolstering client relations and promoting the company’s products and services within the Iraqi market.
The seminars, held respectively on September 25, 2023, at the Toyota Iraq Conference Hall in Baghdad, and on October 24 at the Grand Millennium Al Seef Basra in Basra, served as platforms to reintroduce Tadano’s cranes and services to Iraqi clients.
Rawand Khalid, General Manager of Sardar Automotive & Machinery, emphasized the significance of these events in reinforcing ties with valued clients, showcasing Tadano’s state-of-the-art technology, and cultivating a spirit of trust and collaboration. Khalid noted the notable attendance of Tadano customers and key stakeholders from Iraq’s automotive and government sectors.
Tadano’s return to the Iraqi market was facilitated by a Memorandum of Understanding signed with Sardar Automotive & Machinery, marking the official reintroduction of Tadano’s mobile cranes to meet the growing demand in Iraq. The agreement, formalized in August 2023, also involved the Sumitomo Corporation.
Commenting on Tadano’s appeal, Khalid highlighted the various advantages of Tadano products that have made them favored choices across multiple industries in Iraq, including construction, infrastructure, oil and gas, and logistics. The product range available in Iraq encompasses Truck Cranes with load capacities ranging from 30 to 75 tons, Rough Terrain Cranes offering load capacities from 30 to 145 tons, Aerial Work Platforms providing bucket heights from 7.2 meters to 19.7 meters, and Cargo Cranes with load capacities from 3 to 10 tons.
With Tadano’s cranes now accessible in Iraq through Authorized Distribution, the partnership between Tadano and Sardar Automotive & Machinery is poised to meet the evolving needs of Iraq’s diverse industrial landscape while fostering continued growth and development in the region’s infrastructure and construction sectors.
