Six individuals, comprising three Saudi nationals and three expatriates, have been apprehended by the Economic Crimes Wing of the Public Prosecution on charges related to commercial fraud. The arrests come following a thorough investigation conducted under the provisions of the Anti-Commercial Fraud Law.

The investigation revealed that the accused engaged in fraudulent activities concerning commercial products, notably by distributing expired food items and electrical appliances that failed to meet approved specifications and standards. In response to these findings, the Public Prosecution has concluded its inquiry and subsequently referred the individuals to the competent court for legal proceedings.

The Public Prosecution is urging the imposition of penalties on the accused in accordance with the stipulations of the Anti-Commercial Fraud Law. Emphasizing the significance of safeguarding commercial products, authorities have issued a stern warning, asserting that individuals found engaging in any behavior associated with commercial fraud will face criminal accountability.

This development underscores the commitment of law enforcement to uphold the integrity of commercial transactions and protect consumers from deceptive practices. As the legal process unfolds, the Public Prosecution remains steadfast in its pursuit of justice and the preservation of a fair and transparent commercial environment.
