Saudi Engineer Reem AlKhowaiter earns ShipTek Young Woman Achiever award
Saudi marine mechanical engineer Reem AlKhowaiter has been honored with the prestigious Young Woman Achiever award at the ShipTek International Awards Conference 2024, held in Dubai.
The recognition places AlKhowaiter as a trailblazer, being the first female mechanical engineer from Saudi Arabia to make a mark in the maritime transport sector. Currently, she contributes her expertise to Bahri, the national shipping company of the Kingdom, renowned as the largest owner and operator of Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs) and chemical tankers in the Middle East.
