Chicago-based e-commerce and finance solutions provider, Pure Platform, has successfully acquired an operating license from the Iraqi government, marking a significant milestone in the company’s strategic growth plan. The license, purchased for a seven-figure sum by the International Smart Card Group (ISC), owner of Qi Card, solidifies Pure Platform’s position in the region.

According to reports by Wamda, Pure Platform experienced an impressive surge in sales, recording over a 300 percent increase in 2022 and a remarkable 600 percent growth in 2023. By the end of the latter year, the company achieved an 8-digit cumulative revenue, setting the stage for its latest venture into the Iraqi market.

Pure Platform’s CEO and founder, Moe Alkhafaji, highlighted the importance of the partnership with ISC, emphasizing its role in bolstering the company’s presence in the region and enhancing operational capabilities within Iraq. The e-commerce firm specializes in seamlessly connecting Saudi and Iraqi clients with merchants across the US, Europe, the Gulf, and Turkey through a sophisticated online platform built on cutting-edge technology and an intuitive interface.

Established in 2019, Pure Platform operates with a dual focus – an operational subsidiary recently established in Saudi Arabia and a division dedicated to technical and intellectual property advancements aimed at driving e-commerce innovation through automation. This latest licensing agreement marks another stride in Pure Platform’s commitment to expanding its global footprint and providing enhanced e-commerce experiences for its clients.
