Iraqi Prime Minister condemns Israeli aggression in renewed stance
Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani reiterated Iraq’s unwavering moral stance against Israel’s aggressive actions in Gaza. Al-Sudani, communicating through X, formerly Twitter, emphasized the need for the international community to intervene, halt the aggression, facilitate humanitarian aid, and ensure a dignified life for Palestinians.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army, anticipating prolonged conflict, announced strategic adjustments in soldier deployments in a New Year message. The Gaza conflict originated when Hamas militants launched a cross-border attack on southern Israel on October 7, resulting in 1,200 casualties, predominantly civilians, and around 240 hostages.
Since the initial incident, Gaza has witnessed a devastating toll, with 21,978 fatalities, primarily women and children, and 56,697 injuries reported by the health ministry operated by Hamas. The situation remains a focal point, urging global attention to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
