Hezbollah, the Lebanese armed group, has claimed responsibility for an assault on Israel’s Beit Hillel military base situated east of Kiryat Shmona city, near the Lebanese border. Hezbollah alleges “confirmed casualties” as a result of the attack.

The group’s statement indicates that Israeli soldiers near the Bikrat Risha site were also targeted with what they describe as “appropriate weapons.”

The attack involved the launch of eight missiles from southern Lebanon, directed towards Israeli military sites near the Sasa settlement in the Upper Galilee area of northern Israel.

In response, the Israeli army conducted a series of overnight airstrikes in Lebanon and continued its operations this morning, targeting sites and military infrastructure reportedly associated with Hezbollah. The situation remains tense as both sides escalate their military actions in the region.
