Saudi Arabia welcomes UN Security Council resolution on Gaza aid

The Saudi Foreign Ministry has warmly received the recent approval of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2720. This crucial resolution urges swift actions to facilitate the immediate, widespread, secure, and unimpeded distribution of humanitarian aid. It also emphasizes the need to establish conditions conducive to a sustainable ceasefire.
Expressing optimism, the Ministry views this resolution as a positive stride towards achieving a comprehensive cessation of military activities and safeguarding the well-being of civilians in Gaza.
Additionally, it reiterates Saudi Arabia’s call for the international community to take decisive action, putting an immediate end to the systematic violations carried out by Israeli occupation authorities against unarmed civilians. These violations, including acts such as killing and forced displacement, are deemed as clear breaches of both international law and humanitarian standards.
