The exclusive screening took place at the Government Communication Center within the Ministry Headquarters in Riyadh on Thursday, drawing the attendance of distinguished officials from the National Center of Wildlife (NCW) – a strategic partner in the venture. Notable guests included officials, specialists, and media representatives.
Scheduled for release on various local and international platforms, including Netflix starting January 4, 2024, the film meticulously portrays facets of the Kingdom’s wildlife and biodiversity. It accentuates the dedicated endeavors of the Kingdom, epitomized by the NCW and other collaborative partners, in the relentless pursuit of wildlife preservation and protection against extinction. The NCW played a pivotal role in the film’s realization, contributing its scientific and cognitive services as part of the Konoz Initiative’s strategic partnership.
In conjunction with the screening, the Konoz Initiative took the opportunity to unveil multiple new partnerships, solidifying collaborations with diverse media and artistic entities. These partnerships, totaling eight in number, are geared towards amplifying the reach and impact of the initiative’s productions.
Executed in adherence to the highest international production standards, the film engaged an international team with specialized expertise in wildlife documentation, featuring the active participation of 13 Saudi researchers. This initiative aligns seamlessly with the Ministry of Media’s commitment to spotlighting the Kingdom’s environmental wealth.
Furthermore, the Konoz Initiative’s announcement coincided with the Ministry’s dedication to promoting the Human Capacity Development Program, an integral component of Saudi Vision 2030. The program seeks to document Saudi Arabia’s cultural and civilizational contributions while showcasing success stories of Saudi citizens across various domains. Leveraging collaborations with local companies, the Konoz Initiative is actively involved in the production of documentaries, short films, and animation that meet the highest international standards.
This strategic alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to nurturing the development of local visual content production, thereby effectively portraying the nation’s vast treasures.
