Saudi FM attends GCC ministerial preparatory meeting
Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, actively participated in the 158th meeting of the Preparatory Ministerial Council for the upcoming 44th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Supreme Council.
The event, held in Doha, was presided over by Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, who serves as the current session’s Ministerial Council chairman. In attendance were foreign ministers from GCC states, along with GCC Secretary General Jasem Albudaiwi.
During the meeting, ministers delved into comprehensive discussions covering reports on the progress of implementing decisions made at the 43rd GCC Supreme Council summit in Riyadh. The agenda also encompassed scrutinizing memorandums and reports presented by ministerial and technical committees, as well as the General Secretariat. The talks extended to encompass topics related to dialogues and strategic relationships among GCC nations, as well as their global engagements with other countries and blocs. The session devoted attention to regional and international developments influencing the region.
Key figures attending included Saudi Ambassador to Qatar Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Rasi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral International Affairs, and Abdul Rahman Al-Daoud, Director-General of the Office of Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs. The meeting served as a platform for constructive deliberations and diplomatic exchanges among the participating GCC leaders and officials.
