In a determined effort to enhance public health compliance, beautify the urban landscape, and curb unauthorized street vending, the Jeddah Municipality has launched an extensive field campaign in the Airport Sub-Municipality.

Headed by Fahad Al-Zahrani, the airport sub-municipality’s leader, the campaign specifically targets the proliferation of random stalls around the central vegetable market and residential neighborhoods. Field teams have been diligently monitoring street vendors, resulting in the confiscation of several stalls and carts used for unauthorized selling, along with the seizure of 4 tons of vegetables.

Al-Zahrani emphasized that the comprehensive field tours extend beyond confiscation, including the removal of traces left by these stalls on roads and sidewalks. The initiative aims not only to enforce health requirements but also to combat negative phenomena and uplift the overall urban environment in the governorate.
