In a significant announcement at the World Television Day celebration ceremony hosted by the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA), Mohammed Al-Harthi, President of the Saudi Media Forum and SBA CEO, declared that the third edition of the Saudi Media Forum is slated to unfold in Riyadh from February 19 to 21, 2024.

Organized in collaboration with the Saudi Journalists Association, the Saudi Media Forum 2024 aims to build on the triumphs of its predecessors, reinforcing its role as a catalyst for positive impact, technological exploration, and the exchange of local and international media experiences.

Al-Harthi underscored the forum’s pivotal role in advancing Saudi Arabia’s media prominence, expressing gratitude to Saudi Media Minister Salman Al-Dosary for unwavering support. Emphasizing the need to align with global media trends, Al-Harthi affirmed the forum’s contribution to realizing the objectives outlined in Vision 2030.

The forum will host the Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX), the largest of its kind in the Middle East, showcasing cutting-edge developments in the media industry, including television and radio production. Specialized workshops, led by experts, academics, and practitioners, will provide insights into various facets of the ever-evolving media landscape.

Al-Harthi highlighted the forum’s inclusivity, recognizing that modern media transcends traditional boundaries, welcoming all with the means to effectively communicate. Culminating in the Saudi Media Forum Award, the event features six categories, honoring excellence in journalism, audio-visual production, scientific production, digital media, innovation and leadership, and media excellence.

Designed to stimulate fair competition and acknowledge outstanding contributions to local and regional media, these awards reflect the commitment to fostering the growth of Saudi media on both local and Arab fronts. The Saudi Media Forum 2024 promises to be a dynamic convergence of innovation, excellence, and a celebration of media accomplishments.
