Saudi Crown Prince reiterates strong support for Palestinian rights

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, reaffirmed the kingdom’s unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people during a recent telephone conversation with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

During the extensive dialogue, the two leaders addressed the escalating military tensions in Gaza and its neighboring areas. They expressed deep concern regarding the deteriorating situation, recognizing the grave threat it poses to civilian lives and the overall security and stability of the region.

After a series of diplomatic consultations, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman emphasized Saudi Arabia’s proactive efforts to collaborate with both international and regional stakeholders, with the primary goal of swiftly ending the ongoing escalation and preventing its further spread across the region. He underscored the importance of upholding international humanitarian law and refraining from targeting innocent civilians.

Furthermore, the Crown Prince reiterated Saudi Arabia’s steadfast commitment to stand by the Palestinian people in their pursuit of legitimate rights, including the right to a dignified life, the realization of their hopes and aspirations, and the achievement of a just and lasting peace.

President Mahmoud Abbas expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the leadership of Saudi Arabia, acknowledging the kingdom’s unwavering stance and dedicated efforts in supporting the Palestinian people and their just causes.

In separate discussions, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman engaged with King Abdullah bin Al-Hussein of Jordan to delve deeper into the escalating situation in Gaza. Both leaders reiterated their concerns regarding the impact of the crisis on civilian lives and the stability of the region.

Additionally, during talks with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt, the leaders reached a consensus on the urgent need to intensify both international and regional efforts to halt the escalation in Gaza and its surrounding areas. They emphasized the crucial importance of preventing the further spread of the conflict in the broader region.
