Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan denies responsibility for recent bomb attacks
The banned extremist group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has officially disavowed any involvement in the recent twin bomb attacks that shook Pakistan’s northwestern and southwestern provinces.
The TTP, also commonly referred to as the Pakistani Taliban, has not only distanced itself from the attacks but has vehemently condemned the loss of lives, labeling it as “tragic.”
In an official statement issued by the TTP’s spokesperson, Muhammad Khorasani, the group declared its unequivocal commitment to its objectives. The statement clarified that mosques, seminaries, schools, and public gatherings are not on their list of targets. It further emphasized that the TTP bears no responsibility for the two recent blasts and strongly denounced them.
This unexpected denial from the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has added a layer of complexity to the ongoing investigations into the bomb attacks. Authorities are now faced with the challenging task of identifying the actual perpetrators behind these tragic incidents. As the nation awaits further developments, questions linger about the true actors responsible for the violence that has shaken Pakistan’s provinces.
