Flynas, one of Saudi Arabia’s prominent airlines, has announced the commencement of nonstop flights connecting Jeddah and Baghdad. Collaborating closely with the Saudi Air Connectivity Program (ACP), Flynas has taken this step to expand its presence in Iraq. The maiden flight, marking this historic occasion, took off on September 1, 2023.

Starting this service, Flynas will operate three scheduled flights each week, specifically on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, offering travelers a seamless journey between Baghdad and Jeddah. This introduction of a direct air route between Iraq and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is poised to fortify trade ties, attract foreign investments, and streamline travel for tourists and Umrah pilgrims traveling between these two Arab nations.

It is worth noting that Flynas had previously initiated a weekly service between Erbil and Jeddah earlier in the year, underlining the airline’s commitment to enhancing regional connectivity.

This achievement of resuming regular flights between Saudi Arabia and Iraq can be attributed to the diligent efforts of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council, which has played an instrumental role in fostering stronger ties and facilitating improved transportation links between the two nations.
