The Reconquest of Andalusia is Now Complete

For 300 years, Muslims ruled the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal), establishing the justice of Islam, tolerance, freedom of religion, and one of the most advanced civilizations in the world.
By 1072, Alfonso IV, leading a Trinitarian invasion conquered Leon, Castille, and Portugal. After a 7 year siege Toledo fell and Alfonso declared himself “Emperor of all Spain.”
A reign of terror, genocide, and fear covered the conquered territories. It seemed like all was lost but in 1086 Yusuf ibn Tashfin and a courageous force of Muslim/African warriors (Al -Murabitun) responded to the call for help from the Muslim ruler of Seville, Al-Mutamid.
They defeated the Trinitarian Christian forces and restored the dignity and honor of Muslim people and their co-religionists who were living alongside them in Al Andalus.
Today our brave, Morocca football players have symbolically defeated the combined forces of Spain and Portugal and won the hearts of people around the world.
Let this victory set the stage for a new era of Muslim/African/Arab progress and a return to the tolerance and peace of Islam.
