OIC condemns terrorist bombing in Somali City of Jowhar

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the terrorist bombing against a hotel in the center of Jowhar city near the presidential palace of Hirshabelle State in the Federal Republic of Somalia.

The bombing according to a report on Friday July 22, 2022, killed and injured a number of people, including government officials, as well as destroying nearby buildings.

His Excellency Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, OIC Secretary-General, expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, the Somali government and people following this heinous terrorist act, wishing all the injured a speedy recovery.

The Secretary-General reaffirmed the OIC’s stand and solidarity with the Federal Republic of Somalia in its efforts to maintain security and stability and combat extremism and terrorism.
