Decomposed body found under couch in Queens apartment
A man’s badly decomposed body was found under a couch in a Queens apartment, police said Thursday.
The man appears to have been dead for at least a couple of weeks.
Cops said that the victim had a trauma injury on his back.
A neighbor in the building on Jamaica Ave. near 77th St. in Woodhaven complained to the landlord of a foul odor coming from the apartment.
The landlord called police about 1 p.m. Wednesday and responding officers found the body under the couch.
Cops were working to identify the body Thursday and the city Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine how he died.
