Board of directors approves Musk’s Twitter deal
Elon Musk’s deal to acquire Twitter has been approved by its board of directors.
The endorsement was disclosed in a filing Tuesday with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Twitter has finally endorsed Elon Musk’s deal in a bid to buy the microblogging platform for a total sum of $44 billion.
The board said in the filing that it “unanimously recommends that you vote (for) the adoption of the merger agreement.”
According to Forbes, Musk, 50, is the richest person in the world.
Forbes lists his net worth at more than $226 billion.
