Suicide bomber kills 6 in Mogadishu ice-cream parlor
A suicide bomber has blown himself up in an ice-cream parlor in the Somali capital Mogadishu.
The bombing in Friday November 27, 2020, killed six people and wounded eight.
According to an official report, it was not immediately clear who was responsible for the blast, but the al-Qaeda-affiliated group al Shabaab frequently carries out bombings in the capital and elsewhere.
The Gelato Divino parlour is located near K4 Junction in the heart of Mogadishu, near the international airport.
“A suicide bomber blew up himself in the ice-cream restaurant,” information ministry spokesman Ismail Mukhtar Omar said.
