NSCIA congratulates Jaiz Bank on award of World’s Most Improved Islamic Bank
The Nigerian Supreme Council For Islamic Affairs, under the leadership of Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has congratulated Jaiz Bank’s emergence as Most Improved Islamic Bank in the World.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by NSCIA Deputy Secretary-General, Prof. Salisu Shehu.
Sa’ad Abubakar felicitated with Jaiz Bank on its new recognition at the 2020 well-respected Global Islamic Finance Award.
According to the statement, the global recognition centred on the Bank’s best practices in operations, ethical standard, fairness without discrimination and fulfilment of social responsibility, Shari’a authenticity as well as uncompromising comnitment to Islamic Banking and Finance.
“It is indeed a great honour to Islam and its unique role in the development of Nigeria’s financial system,” the statement reads.
“Jaiz Bank, Nigeria’s premier non-interest bank, has proven that the Islamic Financial System is the solution to world’s financial and economic troubles and the panacea for Nigeria’s development,” it adds.
NSCIA urged Jaiz Bank to remain assiduous, efficient and committed to the principles of Islamic banking and finance.
“We urge Jaiz Bank to continue to blaze the trail for upcoming Islamic-compliant banking institutions while serving as a catalyst for national economic development,” the statement says.
