Woman surrenders to police after murdering 10-year-old boy
A woman has surrendered herself to police after murdering a 10-year-old boy in west London.
The 40-year-old woman, who committed the crime around 2:30 am on Sunday August 16, 2020 was afterwards arrested.
Officers and paramedics visited a residential address in Cumberland Park, west London where the body of a child was found.
A murder investigation has been launched and police say they believe his identity is known but await formal identification.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said, “The woman, aged in her 40s, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
“She was known to the child. Nobody else is sought at this stage in connection with the death. Detectives from Specialist Crime are investigating.”
