Founder of Gokada Fahim Saleh murdered in New York
The founder of Gokada, a fast-growing business in Nigeria, Fahim Saleh, has been murdered in his home in a luxury New York condo.
While confirming this on Thursday July 16, 2020, the New York Police Department stated that Saleh’s dismembered body was found on Tuesday in an apartment in Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
The remains were identified as a tech entrepreneur, a venture capitalist and CEO of Gokada, Nigeria’s motorcycle ride-hail company.
Saleh was last sighted in surveillance footage on Monday evening, getting into the elevator in his apartment building in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
“A man dressed in all black, who is suspected to be Saleh’s assailant, is seen in the video entering the elevator with him,” security official said.
“The elevator in Saleh’s building goes straight into the apartment units.
“Once inside Saleh’s apartment, the alleged assailant started to attack him,” the official added.
It was reported that it was the CEO’s sister who visited to check on him discovered Saleh’s torso in an area next to the living room.
NY Police, who are yet to unravel the motive behind the heinous attack, stated that other parts of his body were stuffed into individual bags in the apartment,
The NYPD is looking into how the attacker exited the apartment building.
