30 Years on Throne: Nigerian legislator extols, felicitates King Akinrun
A Nigerian legislator, Hon. Olalekan Rasheed Afolabi, who represents Ifelodun, Boripe and Odo-Otin Federal Constituency, in the Green Chamber, has extolled and felicitated the royal majesty of Ikirun Land, Oba Abdulrauf Olawale Asedeji II, as he clocks 30 years on the throne.
Hon Afolabi offered his felicitation to the royal father in a statement released on his Facebook timeline on Sunday July 5, 2020.
“It gives me deep sense of pleasure and admiration to write this brief felicitation message in commemoration of three decades of successful reign of His Royal Majesty, Ọba AbdulRauf Olawale Adedeji II (MFR) as Akinrun of Ikirun Land,” Hon Afolabi said.
The legislator leveraged the occasion to appreciate the traditional ruler for his concerted efforts and strong commitment to fostering development in the entire Ikirun land.
“Your reign as the Chief custodian of our culture and tradition has been of tremendous progress and development to Ikirun Agunbe Onile Obi,” he stated.
“You are a silent achiever, calculated strategist and prayer enthusiast. I am proud to be one of your subjects and pray that your reign shall continue to propel our town to the zenith,” he added.
“On behalf of entire people of Ifelodun, Boripe and Odo-Otin Federal Constituency, I wish our highly revered monarch (the Deputy Chairman of Osun State Council of Obas’ and Chiefs), many more of fruitful years with sound health on the seat of your forefathers,” Hon Afolabi concluded.
