Father rapes daughter during lockdown

An 18-year-old girl living inMorena district of Madhya Pradesh has reportedly accused her father of raping her twice, within 16 days, during the lockdown. She added that her mother was an accomplice during the acts.

Her parents have however denied the allegations stating that their daughter was just framing them because they disapproved of her relationship with a youth.

The girl said, at around 2 pm on March 26, when she was working in the kitchen. Her father grabbed her and took her to a room where she was tied to a bed while her mother stuffed clothes into her mouth.

The girl was then allegedly raped by her father while her mother watched in silence. The girl’s father said that it would make things less painful after marriage. After the incident, the girl’s parents locked her inside a room to prevent her from informing the cops.

She however escaped from home to her aunt’s home in the 10th of April. Whereas, her father got hold of her whereabouts and took her back home to be raped again.

The girl’s problems came to an end when her elder sister called 1098 toll-free number and narrated her ordeal.

Asit Yadav, Morena SP told The Times of India, “We have detained the couple following her complaint. Her statement would be recorded before the magistrate. ”

“The girl showed bite marks on her cheeks and injuries on her wrist when she was rescued by the police.” Asit added.

Asit said that the girl’s parents however have a different version of the same story.
